We teamed up with MDC Builders Inc., a California-based remediation and restoration specialist, to give their digital presence a modern, clean finish that reflects their 24/7 emergency expertise. The goal was to streamline access to their core services—fire/smoke, mold, storm, water damage, and general contracting—while reinforcing trust through bold imagery, clear calls-to-action, and client testimonials.

They came to us with a site which felt like it was built in the early 2000's and lacked depth, information and clarity on what MDC even does.


Our Process

  1. Discovery & Strategy
    – Met with MDC’s leadership to map out user journeys: homeowners vs. commercial clients.
    – Defined key messaging points (mission, rapid response, certified pros) and mapped out content hierarchy.
  2. Design & Prototyping
    – Created low-fidelity wireframes to position services front and center.
    – Developed a visual system using strong typography, hero imagery of real-world job sites, and a color palette echoing reliability (deep blues, crisp whites).
    – Iterated on mobile and desktop layouts to ensure finger-friendly calls-to-action, especially the “24 Hour Emergency Contact” bar.
  3. Webflow Development
    – Built a fully responsive site in Webflow, leveraging CMS collections for easy future updates (e.g., adding new locations or services).
    – Implemented smooth scroll interactions and hover states on service cards to keep the experience engaging but not gimmicky.
    – Integrated contact forms with client’s email system and embedded map for their headquarters in Concord, CA.
  4. QA, Launch & Training
    – Conducted cross-device testing (Chrome, Safari, iOS, Android) and accessibility audits to meet WCAG basics.
    – Launched on Webflow’s hosting with custom domain setup, SSL, and SEO best practices baked in.
    – Walked MDC’s team through the Webflow Editor so they could update testimonials, add blog posts, or tweak service details without touching a line of code.
